GO ON AN OVERNIGHT VISIT! An open house or a tour is just not enough. You need to live with a student for a night, eat our food, talk to students directly. Only then can you get a real feel for the experience.
A Favorite Allegheny Memory:
My advisor invited me over to his house for Thanksgiving because he knew that I was going to be on campus alone for the holiday. It showed compassion and care for me as a learner and as a friend.
