Jamison Tribute Book Now Available

Dear Choir Friends,

As you may know, Reunion Weekend 2012 marked the end of an era at Allegheny. After 31 years of leading our storied choral program, Ward and Vicki Jamison decided to take a step back from their full-time roles at Allegheny, following a concert celebration that will be talked about for generations. More than 300 alumni and friends of the program gathered one final time, united under Ward’s precise baton and Vicki’s maternal halo, for a tear-filled weekend of rehearsal, reminiscing, and reverence for their beloved mentors.

In the months following, graphic designer David Bornstein ’88 gathered and arranged scores of testimonials, told in words and images, into a tribute book that was presented to the Jamisons in March. Contributors, ranging in age from 15 to 90+, offered heartfelt stories, thank-yous, reflections, insights, jokes, and aha moments from their lives in and out of the choirs. Combined, these accolades capture the Jamisons’ distinguished place in the arc of history drawn by Allegheny’s choral program.
