City Year Recruiter On Campus

City Year, a non-profit program sponsored by AmeriCorps, will be recruiting on campus Tuesday, October 17 from 11:30 am- 1:30 pm in the Campus Center Lobby. City Year is a compensated service program geared toward the betterment of children’s experience in high-need and inner-city schools throughout the United States. All City Year employees are between 18 and 24 years old and come from a variety of backgrounds. Students of all class years and majors are encouraged to learn more about this awesome program!

Brian Holland ’16 from Lancaster Pollard is Recruiting

Lancaster Pollard helps health care, senior living, and housing organizations expand and improve their services by providing financial advice and financing solutions. They are recruiting junior undergraduate students for the paid Summer Analyst Program. The program will last approximately 10-12 weeks and will provide exposure to all of Lancaster Pollard’s business lines. The internship is located at Lancaster Pollard’s headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. All majors are welcome to attend to learn more!  

The Woodlands Foundation Summer 2018 Internship Information Session

Learn about paid summer 2018 internships at The Woodlands Foundation. As a member of The Woodlands staff, you will enjoy new and challenging experiences and make a positive difference in the lives of the participants. If you have a genuine interest in enriching the lives of children and adults with disability and chronic illness, then The Woodlands is the place for you! Positions are open to students of all class years! Housing, internet access, and laundry are all provided during the summer camp season and students are paid a stipend! They are seeking candidates interested in art, music, therapy, education, healthcare, or psychology.

Attend the on-campus session from 12-1pm on Monday, October 16 in room 303 in the Campus Center to meet Patrick Joyal, Talent Acquisition Coordinator.

Apply for Internships and Jobs at SciMath Tech Interview Day

Does your unusual combination include a STEM discipline? Then consider attending SciMath Tech Interview Day on Friday, November 10. SciMath Tech is a one day Science, Math, and Technology recruiting event that gives companies an opportunity to interview regional college/university students for internships and full-time employment. Review the student information to see the companies that participate, such as Duquesne Light and Bayer, and position descriptions. The application process includes three steps, all of which must be completed by Wednesday, October 25, by noon. For more information, stop into Career Education during Quick Questions from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Bloomberg Paid Summer 2018 Internship Applications Open

Bloomberg has paid summer 2018 internships available! Their internships fall into seven programs: Corporate Functions, Financial Products, Industry Verticals, Global Data, News Research, and Technology. Internships begin typically in May or June and last for 10-12 weeks. Applications will only be available for a short time so apply now! Funding is available through the Gateway to help support students who receive these internships. Students interested in applying should contact Career Education at (814) 332-2381 to have their materials reviewed before they submit.

WestPACS Job & Internship Fair

WestPACS Job & Internship Fair, the largest in the region, will take place Wednesday, October 11th, and students and alumni can register for free. Over 100 employers attend this fair, recruiting for positions in and around the Pittsburgh region. Transportation to the Pittsburgh area will be provided for $10 by Career Education, and students must reserve their spot by signing up in the Career Education office by 5pm on Thursday, October 5th.

 

A pre-departure session will take place on Thursday, October 5th from 4:30-5:30 pm in the Gateway room 245. All students registered for the fiar should plan to attend to learn how to prepare.

FBI Honors Internship Program Information Session

Get started in a career like no other with the FBI Honors Internship Program. The Honors Internship Program is a 10-week, paid internship for college students. While exploring career options, students work side-by-side with FBI employees at its Washington, D.C.-area headquarters or in field offices around the country. Open to a wide range of academic areas, this internship offers experiences students can’t find anywhere else. The applications are due on October 15, 2017. To learn more, attend the information session on Wednesday, October 4, from noon to 1 p.m. in Campus Center 206.

October Resume Doctor Session

Stop in the Campus Center lobby between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 4, to have your resume, cover letters, or other documents reviewed by Career Education staff at the Resume Doctor session. This is the perfect chance to improve your resume prior to attending the WestPACS Job & Internship Fair. Please bring a printed copy.
