Sandy Everett, technical director, has an MFA in Theatre Technology from Indiana University and a BA from Transylvania University. Sandy supervises the construction and implementation of designs for the Playshop Theatre by the scenic studio work-study students. She also teaches introductory and advanced courses in theatre production and technology.
Sandy was the technical director the 2015 USA Student exhibit for the Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space (PQ) sponsored by the United States Institute of Theatre (USITT). The PQ is a celebration and display of international performance design, scenography, and architecture occurring every four years in Prague, Czech Republic. Sandy continues to be an active member of USITT.
Previously, Sandy was the technical theatre specialist for the U.S. Army’s MWR community theatre program at both the Roadside Theater in Heidelberg, Germany and the Off-Main Street Theatre in Mannheim, Germany. She has also been the technical director for Nashville Children’s Theatre in Nashville, Tennessee.
