Joe Tompkins is an associate professor of communication and media at Allegheny College. He teaches courses in political economy and cultural studies. His research broadly concerns the way commercial media and popular culture shape the way we think about inequality. Professor Tompkins is also the co-editor of Film Criticism, an open access, peer-reviewed film journal.
