Wireless Network (AC-Wireless)

All teaching, meeting, and living spaces now have reliable access to AC-Wireless. If you notice that a space you are using does not have good wireless coverage, please let Computing Services know by completing a trouble ticket on WebHelpDesk.

Laptops

Employees with Windows 7 Laptops:

You can alter the laptop’s wireless settings to continue to work with AC-Wireless after July 29th.  Instructions on how to switch to the new settings are available here.

Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Mac OS X are recommended for easy connectivity from laptops.

Mobile Devices

The wireless network supports mobile devices running at least iOS 3.0 or Android 4.0.

Note: Windows Phones and Blackberry do not support the 802.1X EAP- TTLS authentication protocols necessary to connect to AC-Wireless.

Other Devices

Computing Services is not able to support every device or operating system.  If you have a wireless device that is not listed above but  capable of the following standards, you may be able to connect to AC-Wireless.

  • 802.1X
  • EAP-TTLS authentication
  • PAP inner authentication
