Requirements

The minor in Education Studies requires the successful completion of a minimum of 24 credits of coursework (including 4 required courses and 2 electives).  All courses presented for the minor must be taken for a letter grade.  At least one elective or the PPD Course must be at the 300 or 400 level.

Students planning to pursue admission to post-graduate certification or Master of Arts in Teaching programs should be aware that additional coursework may be necessary. For academic advising in Education Studies, please contact the Education Studies Program Director.

  1. EDUC 100: Introduction to Education Studies (four credits)
  2. A Privilege, Power and Difference Course (four credits). Choose one course from the list of approved PPD courses below.
  3. EDUC 529/540: Internship in Education and Internship in Education Seminar (2+2 credits; four credits total)*

  5. Electives (eight credits). Choose two:
