“In the Footsteps of the Masters”

Description

A European travel seminar that focuses on the masters of Baroque, Classical and Romantic music. The seminar focuses on the important composers and musical landmarks of Vienna and Salzburg in Austria, Leipzig and Weimar in Germany, and Prague in the Czech Republic. Important composers include Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, J.S. Bach, Liszt, Mendelssohn, Dvorak and Smetana.

Pre-Requisites

None necessary.

Dates

  • Departure from the US: May 14, 2012
  • Return to the US: June 5, 2012

Costs: $6115

Includes tuition, room, all breakfasts and some dinners, international airfare, local transportation and excursions required by program, international insurance, and books.

An additional $1000 is recommended for the following personal expenses:

  • passport ($125-if applicable)
  • additional meals (lunches and some dinners)/snacks/drinks
  • personal spending money
