Every submission is carefully screened by the Editorial Board, made up entirely of Allegheny students, to assure that a collection of the finest undergraduate literature around is created. The Review is published each spring, and an award is given for the best work in prose and poetry.

English Honor Society

Sigma Tau Delta is an English honor society looking to promote interest in literature and the English language on local campuses and their surrounding communities. It strives to promote all aspects of the study of English, including creative and critical writing. Through events that highlight the study of English, it hopes to bring the love of writing and literature to fellow students and community members.

Overkill

Overkill Magazine provides a forum for creative and alternative voices on campus. Each issue of Overkill explores a different theme relevant to college students, but also manages to cover a truly diverse array of topics with style and verve. Overkill’s edgy and unpredictable layout design, known around campus as “strictly overkill,” seeks to complement the magazine’s poetry, nonfiction, fiction, art, and photography submissions, as well as provide students with experience in pre-professional graphic design and editing. Overkill, with the help of the Allegheny Review sponsored Writer’s Week in 2011 to promote different kinds of writing all across campus.
