The Clarence Frisbee Ross Scholarship is given by the Phi Delta Theta Allegheny College Scholarship Fund of the Pittsburgh Foundation to an outstanding junior at Allegheny College in Meadville, PA.  The student must:

  • Be a member of the junior class
  • Be in the top five percent of their class
  • Demonstrate significant contributions to Allegheny College through outstanding academic or extracurricular accomplishments and community service

CreditRepair.com will award scholarships to three students each semester.  One first place winner will receive $3,000, one second place winner will earn $1,500, and one third place winner will be awarded $500.  Applicants must submit an 800+ word essay about their credit score and why it is important for your future success.  In this essay, you should also explore how your credit report will positively or negatively affect your life during the next 10 years, and what can be done now to improve your credit score.  YouTube submissions are strongly encouraged, although not required.  Videos should be no longer than 4 minutes.  Essays submitted via YouTube must also be submitted in writing.  To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, students must:

SUSSLE SCHOLARSHIP:

Sussle, a website that describes itself as being the first organic encyclopedia, is offering a monthly scholarship.  Students who meet the following criteria are eligible to participate:

  • Full-time undergraduate or graduate student as of fall 2013 at an accredited college or university in the United States
  • US citizen or legal permanent resident

Sussle’s scholarship program is non-traditional.  Instead of completing applications or essays, students add to Sussle’s website by making content contributions about subjects they are knowledgeable in.  Each month, one student will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship based on the amount of content contributed and the quality of the content.  For more information about this scholarship program, please click HERE.

 

SWEATBLOCK “SOCIAL CONFIDENCE” SCHOLARSHIP:

Each year, SweatBlock will award a $2,000 scholarship to one student.  Applicants must write a 500-1,000 word essay in response to one of three topics related to perception of excessive perspiration.  To be eligible to apply, students must:

  • Be a US citizen
  • Be a full-time student attending (or planning to attend on a full-time basis) an accredited institution of higher education

THE CLUBS OF AMERICA SCHOLARSHIP AWARD FOR CAREER SUCCESS:

Clubs of America is offering a $1,000 scholarship to one student.  Applicants must write an essay of no fewer than 600 words about their career aspirations and how their current course load will help them achieve success in their careers.  The essay should also include where you see yourself 10 years from now.  Eligible applicants must:

  • Be a current college student at an accredited U.S. college or university
  • Have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0

THE LSATMAX SCHOLARSHIP:

Thermo Fisher Scientific is offering two $10,000 scholarships and four $5,000 scholarships to help provide educational opportunities for future generations of scientists. To be eligible, a student must:

  • Be 16 or older
  • Be a US citizen or have appropriate VESA status to study in the US
  • Be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program for the Spring 2015 semester
  • Have a declared major in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or a related life science field
  • Have a GPA of 3.0 or more

Icing on the Ring will award one $1,000 scholarship for the fall semester and one $1,000 scholarship for the spring semester.  Applicants must write a 500-1,000 word essay describing how breast cancer challenged them to pursue their educational goals.  To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

  • Be currently enrolled at or accepted to an accredited university
  • Be currently fighting breast cancer, be in remission, or have beaten breast cancer
  • Have a minimum 2.8 GPA

U.S. ARMY HEALTH PROFESSIONS SCHOLARSHIP: 

The U.S. Army provides scholarships for up to four years to students pursuing an education in any accredited Medical, Dental, Optometry, Clinical or Counseling Psychology and Veterinary School.  The scholarship pays 100% tuition directly to the school.  There is a $20,000 sign-on bonus, a $2,088 living stipend monthly, and payment for books, fees, medical supplies and healthcare insurance included.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen with a baccalaureate degree from an accredited school
  • Must maintain full-time student status during the entire length of the program
  • Must qualify as a commissioned officer in the US Army Reserve
