Dutch Crafters is offering three $500 scholarships to undergraduate students who draw upon their cultural heritage to shape their vocational aspirations, add creative value to their future employers, and serve their communities.  DutchCrafters wants to recognize that the potential for creative value often lies within that which has been passed along from previous generations. Boost Software is offering a biannual $1,000 scholarship with a focus on computer skills to empower students as they begin the path to their careers. Eligible students must submit an essay of 750-1500 words or provide a link to a 2 minute video on the topic of computer maintenance, troubleshooting, or the necessity of computers.  Applicants must be enrolled in secondary education.

Pearl Software is offering one college student a $500 scholarship.  Applicants must submit an essay between 500-1000 words answering one of the questions on the website regarding topics about 21st century technologies.  Proof of enrollment in college or an affiliated program is required.

Plushbeds is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a student seeking an eco-degree (any degree that is ecologically related).  Students are asked to write an essay explaining the unique advantages of living a green lifestyle, and the steps that one can take towards a greener lifestyle. Students must:

  • Be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate green degree program in Fall 2014 or Spring 2015 at any accredited American college, university, or trade school

PRIMARY HEALTH NETWORK CHARITABLE FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP:

PHN offers four different scholarships ranging from $1,500 to $5,000 to students who meet the following criteria.

  • Students must reside in one of the following counties:  Ashtabula, Trumbull, Crawford, Mercer, Lawrence, Beaver, Butler, Clarion, Jefferson, Indiana, Cambria, or Blair.
  • Be pursuing a degree/certificate in an Administrative/Clinical healthcare field.
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher

  • Must be in the fields of gerontology, long term care administration, social work, medicine, nursing, or sociology

Sussle, a website that describes itself as being the first organic encyclopedia, is offering a monthly scholarship.  Students who meet the following criteria are eligible to participate:

  • Full-time undergraduate or graduate student as of fall 2013 at an accredited college or university in the United States
  • US citizen or legal permanent resident

U.S. ARMY HEALTH PROFESSIONS SCHOLARSHIP: 

The U.S. Army provides scholarships for up to four years to students pursuing an education in any accredited Medical, Dental, Optometry, Clinical or Counseling Psychology and Veterinary School.  The scholarship pays 100% tuition directly to the school.  There is a $20,000 sign-on bonus, a $2,088 living stipend monthly, and payment for books, fees, medical supplies and healthcare insurance included.
