Tuition Management Information

Allegheny College, in partnership with Tuition Management Systems (TMS), offers the ability to pay college expenses by enrolling in a TMS payment plan or by making a one time payment using a credit card or electronic check. Credit cards currently supported include Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. There is a convenience fee charged for credit card transactions based on a fee schedule determined by the amount of the transaction. Electronic check transactions are free.

In preparation of using the TMS website it is helpful to have your Student ID number and an Allegheny College statement or use the Budget and Estimating Cost sheet on Step 3 of the Payment Plan process.

Initiate a credit card or electronic check transaction

  • Go to www.afford.com.
  • Select “Make a Payment” on Menu Bar
  • Select “Pay in Full” and follow the steps below:
    • Step 1: Type “Allegheny College” in the Search box. Select it.
    • Step 2: Select “Allegheny College in the “Make a One-Time Payment” Option
    • Step 3: Select “Make a Payment”
    • Step 4: Follow the steps outlined on the page

Enroll in a TMS Payment Plan

Enrollment is fast and easy. It is helpful to have a statement from Allegheny College or use the Budget and Estimating Cost sheet to establish a payment plan budget.

  • Go to www.afford.com,
  • Select “Make a Payment” on Menu Bar
  • Select “Payment Plan” and follow the steps below:
    • Step 1: Type “Allegheny College” in the Search box. Select it.
    • Step 2: Select “Allegheny College in the “Enroll in a Payment Plan”¬†Option
    • Step 3: Choose the Academic Term
    • Step 4: Select “Enroll”
    • Step 5: Select FA/SP and follow the steps outlined on the page
    • Step 3: Set up a Payment Plan Budget. If you know the amount you need for the payment plan just enter it or use the Budget and Estimating Cost sheets or call Allegheny College. 814-332-4789

Pay your annual enrollment fee with a credit card, e-check or send a check via the mail.

Once enrolled, TMS will bill you monthly in accordance with the Monthly Payment Schedule. Automatic monthly deductions from checking or savings accounts are available at no additional cost.
