Sponsored by Allegheny College, in partnership with Stone United Methodist, Meadville Unitarian Universalist, and First Presbyterian Churches (directions and parking information to follow).
Workshops will include options for:
- Clergy and laity, with a special track for clergy
- People of all ages (youth are welcome to join at any time and remain for a service opportunity in the afternoon). Allegheny students are invited to attend at no cost. Registration is still required in advance so we know how many meals are needed.
- Congregations that are already involved in environmental work, who want to step up to the next level, or congregations that are just getting started.
Continuing Education for Pastors: Clergy may receive 5 contact hours (1/2 CEU) for attending the workshop, and a full CEU if they also complete a reading assignment. Contact Rev. Dr. Jane Ellen Nickell at (814-332-2800 or firstname.lastname@example.org).
Youth Groups: If interested in afternoon interfaith service project, contact Kristin Schroeder (814-853-3256 or email@example.com). For General Information, contact Allegheny College Office of Religious Life (814-332-2800 or firstname.lastname@example.org).
Events begin at 9:30, with workshops at 10:00. A complementary local foods lunch will be provided at 12:30, and guests are encouraged to stay for an Earth Day service in Diamond Park and hands-on service opportunities throughout the afternoon.
