Allegheny College, a small selective liberal arts college located in northwest Pennsylvania, invites applications for the position of Director of Health Services. This is a full-time exempt administrative position reporting to the Associate Dean of Students for Wellness Education.
The Director of Health Services provides leadership for a comprehensive primary care operation that serves a diverse residential population of students. The Director is a collaborative, energetic, and experienced nurse practitioner and/or physician who contributes to campus-wide leadership on public and community health prevention and crisis management. They inspire a multidisciplinary clinical team in the providing of high quality healthcare services to Allegheny students.
The Director will provide confidential and trustworthy clinical leadership; expert health center administration, including the supervision and management of professional health care providers; and direct patient care. The Director will be a key member of the Health and Wellness team, dedicated to offering holistic healthcare, including outreach programs, services, and initiatives that promote the well-being of the student community.
The successful candidate will possess Master of Science or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or a Medical degree from an accredited medical school; Pennsylvania Medical License, current CPR training, and continuing medical education classes; and appropriate licensure in Pennsylvania. The candidate must be eligible for malpractice insurance in Pennsylvania.
