Allegheny College, a small selective national liberal arts college, invites applications for the position of Office Coordinator, Foundation & Corporate Relations. The position is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Director, Foundation & Corporate Relations.
Responsibilities include preparing and submitting proposals and reports to foundations and agencies, coordinating stewardship of grants and planning site visits, assisting with budgets and financial reports, monitoring federal and state agency mandates regarding compliance, researching funding opportunities, maintaining a spreadsheet of proposals submitted and writing acknowledgement letters. Other responsibilities include typing correspondence/reports, organizing files, making travel arrangements, coordinating meetings, providing technological assistance and supervising student workers.
The successful candidate must be willing and able to plan and execute multiple tasks with limited supervision, to work under deadline pressure, to make significant, professional contributions to an experienced team and to serve as a positive representative of the Development Office. The candidate will contribute to an organization that places a high value on trust and teamwork and through demonstrated cooperation and collegiality fosters a positive and productive work environment. Close attention to detail, excellent oral and written communications skills, and enthusiasm for working with diverse populations are required. At least two years of related experience is required; an associate’s degree and experience with budgets and financial reports are preferred. The applicant must possess strong computing skills with ability to learn new software and funders’ online submission and reporting systems.
