Office Manager

Allegheny College, a small selective national liberal arts college invites applications for a full-time temporary position as Office Manager for the Financial Aid Office.  The position is a non-exempt position requiring 40 hours per week, starting immediately through June 2018.  The position is eligible for medical benefits.

Primary responsibilities include all aspects of financial aid with primary responsibilities for general office operations, student employment processing, and mailing of award letters.  This includes, but is not limited to managing visitor traffic, telephone, and email communications. Manage job openings and oversee electronic job database. Work with supervisors through the hiring process. Ensure submission and approval of student timesheets. Collect and record all necessary clearances and affidavits for student workers. Prepare and review award letters for mailing to prospective and current students.

Qualifications for the position include experience with basic office operations and customer service.  Required working knowledge of essential software programs such as Ellucian and Microsoft Office, or ability to quickly learn.  Must also have excellent interpersonal skills, be highly organized, pay attention to detail, and possess strong communication skills with a focus on customer service.  Prefer experience in student financial aid.
