Program Coordinator

Allegheny College, a small selective national liberal arts college seeks a self-starting individual to serve as Program Coordinator.  This is a part-time non-exempt position reporting to the Director of the Center for Political Participation.  The Program Coordinator will provide support to projects that advance CPP’s missions of education, community outreach, and scholarly development.

The Program Coordinator supervises student Fellows, assists in organizing public forums and represents the CPP at those events, manages on-going initiatives including grant-writing and publicity for programs, and provides basic administrative support (i.e., answering phones, maintain budget, photocopying, and filing).  In addition, the position provides support for other programs as necessary, including—but not limited to—faculty development, the Law and Policy Program, and other programs of the Allegheny Gateway.

This position requires a high level of written and oral communication skills, including proofreading, formatting, and computing skills; organizational skills; and the ability to work effectively with faculty, students, alumni, and college administrators. A bachelor’s degree is required.
