Schedule Maintenance: Colleague, WebAdvisor, and Informer (8/7/14)

In order to resolve some ongoing issues, the admin service will be shutdown and restarted at noon on Thursday, August 7. It will be available again by 1:00pm. This will affect Colleague, WebAdvisor and Informer.

Print Server Upgrade

IT Services will be performing an update to the Papercut Print server this Sunday, July 13th. During this time users will not be able to print to Papercut connected printers (Toshibas, Lexmarks). Local print options will continue to be available (e.g. desktop HP’s).

New printer drivers will be rolled out to each computer, which may cause a slight delay on first print after the upgrade. Users experiencing difficulty should contact the help desk x2755.

ShareStream Scheduled Maintenance

Allegheny’s media streaming service, ShareStream, is scheduled to be updated on Wednesday, January 18, and will be unavailable between the hours of 9-12 am.

Web Server reboot

Computing Services plans a reboot of the college’s web server at 8am Monday morning, 9/9. Expected downtime is expected to be very minimal.

ShareStream Update Scheduled

ShareStream is scheduled to received an update on Thursday (9/5/13) morning from 8:00am-11:00am. Everything else in Sakai will continue to operate during this time, it is only the ShareStream media tools that will be unavailable.

When the update is complete, instructors will be able to more easily provide access to media clips using the same editor used elsewhere in Sakai.  The update will also correct a few bugs being experienced with permissions.
