The ceremony on Saturday in Shafer Auditorium marks the beginning of the academic careers of our first-year students. Members of the faculty are expected to dress in academic regalia and march in the processional at the start of the ceremony. Administrators are encouraged to join the faculty and march at the ceremony (academic regalia required). In dressing underneath your gown, please keep in mind that Matriculation is intended to be a formal ceremony introducing new students and their parents to Allegheny’s distinguished faculty. Faculty and administrators should assemble in the Art Gallery in the Campus Center by 4:30 p.m.
