The Office of the Dean of Students is pleased to hold a series of resource workshops and open forums for faculty and staff in the upcoming weeks. These are designed to provide awareness of, and solicit feedback on, the various changes and new initiatives within Student Life. Please review the schedule of workshops and forums that follow, mark your calendar, and plan to attend.

Mental Health at Allegheny College
November 11 at 3 p.m.
Campus Center 301/302
A presentation designed to provide data on the common student mental health concerns at Allegheny College, and strategies to assist faculty with managing classroom questions and concerns.

Open Meeting on Re-engineering Bias Protocols
November 16 at 3 p.m.
Campus Center 301/302
This session will provide an overview of proposed changes to the Bias Response Protocols, and provide opportunities for discussion and recommendations to enhance the process.

Transgender & Non-Binary Cultural Competencies
November 17 at Noon & 4 p.m.

This session is designed to identify gender identity constructs, common transgender language, and gender affirming pronouns to further enhance diversity core competencies in our community.
