The DIF supports community based initiatives that will encourage cross-campus collaborations to improve diversity and inclusion for long-term community transformation. Students and employees are encouraged to apply for grants ranging from $500 to $3,000. Funds are intended for fall 2017 semester initiatives. The selection committee (which includes students, faculty and staff) welcomes applications that advance one or more of the following:
– Recruitment and retention
– Dialogue and civil discourse for social equity
– Curricular/co-curricular collaborations
– Enhanced student learning
– Integration of local/global diversity
– Faculty scholarship and teaching re: diversity
– Students’ understanding of collaboration and inclusion
– Faculty, student, staff partnerships
