The Director of Speech is looking for students interested in joining the Learning Commons speech consultant staff. Peer speech consultants work with students in Allegheny’s Learning Commons to improve and develop a wide range of oral presentations. The ideal speaking consultant candidate is hard working, intellectually engaged and curious, personable, and supportive of his or her peers and their success. S/he has a sense of what makes oral communication more or less effective even if s/he is not the strongest presenter. The application form can be found here.
