There will be an Allegheny College Contra Dance on Saturday, April 1, at 7:30 p.m. in the Wise Center. Contra is danced to live music provided by TOPPISH–a local Irish dance band. Contra is community dancing, something like square dancing, Scottish dancing, and Irish ceili dancing all rolled into one. All dances will be taught. Students and community members are invited. Adults are $10, students are free. Families are most welcome. Court shoes, dance shoes or sock feet are required. Sorry, no street shoes. Come on out and shake a leg!
