Every year the Allegheny community strives to minimize our electricity consumption for a month. All the money saved on electricity during the Energy Challenge gets re-invested into student-selected sustainability features. You are saving the college money on electricity, so now you get to decide how we spend the savings. Last year, the college saved $11,000 with the Energy Challenge. Click here to determine whether we should invest in motion sensors for lighting, outdoor recycling cans, carbon credits, more solar panels, or filtered water refill stations. Then keep up the electricity conservation to increase our investment pool!
