Youth Sports Mentoring Program: Volunteers Needed

Several athletes are looking to start a youth sports mentoring program at Allegheny for the spring semester. If you would be interested in being a part of this program, please continue reading.

The program would consist of an Allegheny athlete being paired with a Meadville athlete (between 6th and 8th grade), and working with them 1 to 2/hours per week for the duration of the spring semester. During this time Allegheny athletes will help train them in their preferred sport and serve as their mentor. Additional events would be planned for mentors and mentees including: tournaments, going to an Allegheny game together, and community service events.
This program will aim to better the relationship between the College and the Meadville community as well as address the needs for Meadville youth to have a place to gather, things to do, and mentors to look up to. This program will also benefit Allegheny athletes as it will allow them to build strong ties to the Meadville community, and give back to the community using their passions and talents in meaningful ways.
If you would be interested in being a part of this program, please fill out this Google form.
