Erica Restich ’14 is in Sundsvall, Sweden completing a traineeship at Åkroken Science Park as part of the Swedish American Green Alliance (SAGA). Erica was one of three individuals selected from undergraduates, graduate students and young professionals to complete the three-month-long traineeship focused on corporate responsibility and sustainability. The program is sponsored by the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce (SACC-USA), the Embassy of Sweden in Washington, D.C., the U.S. Embassy in Stockholm and the municipality of Sundsvall. Erica participated in a roundtable discussion regarding Swedish and American relations with U.S. Ambassador to Sweden Mark Brzezinski, Swedish politicians and the CEOs of the three host companies. In addition, Erica was featured in Sweden’s largest financial paper, Dagens Industri, along with the Ambassador and the two other American trainees. She was also featured in the Sundsvall newspaper and Ambassador Brzezinski’s Embassy blog.
