March 3, 2014 — The Single Voice Reading Series at Allegheny College will present Amanda Reynolds and Gerry LaFemina at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 6 in the Tillotson Room of the Tippie Alumni Center. All events in the Single Voice Reading Series are free and open to the public.

Amanda Reynolds received her B.A. from Allegheny College, her M.F.A. from the University of Florida and her Ph.D. from Florida State University. She is the author of a book of poems, “Heinz 56,” as well as a chapbook, “Degrees of Separation.” She lives and teaches in Pittsburgh.

Gerry LaFemina is the author of 11 books of poems, prose poems and fiction, including “Graffiti Heart,” “The Parakeets of Brooklyn” and, most recently, “Notes for the Novice Ventriloquist” (prose poems) and “Clamor” (a novel). A noted editor, teacher and advocate for the literary arts, he directs the Frostburg Center for Creative Writing at Frostburg State University, where he is an associate professor of English.
