Single Voice Reading Series Continues with Poet Eduardo Corral

Oct. 16, 2014 – The Single Voice Reading Series at Allegheny College continues its 2014-15 season at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 23, with poet Eduardo C. Corral reading from his work. The presentation in the Tillotson Room of the Tippie Alumni Center is free and open to the public.

Corral is the author of “Slow Lightning,” which was selected by Carl Phillips as the 2011 winner of the Yale Series of Younger Poets competition. He has been the recipient of a Whiting Writers’ Award and a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship, and his work has been honored with a “Discover”/The Nation Award and residencies at Yaddo and the MacDowell Colony.

He holds degrees from Arizona State University and the Iowa Writers’ Workshop.
