History Professor Guo Wu Publishes in Multiple Journals

Associate Professor of History Guo Wu’s research article on contemporary intellectual history, “New Qing History: Disputes and Dialogues among China Scholars,” has been accepted for publication by the peer-reviewed journal The Chinese Historical Review. Professor Wu was invited by the journal The Historian of Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society to provide a book review on a recent monograph focusing on a late 19th-century Chinese female poet and feminist reformer. His article “Zheng Zhen and the Rise of Evidential Research in Late Qing Northern Guizhou” has been accepted for presentation to an international symposium of Academia Sinica in Taipei. He was also invited by the Twenty First Century Bimonthly of the Chinese University of Hong Kong to write a commentary on a study of the abandonment of children during the Chinese Great Famine of 1959-61. The commentary will appear in the journal’s December 2015 issue.
