Shipping Items to Campus

The Post Office website has important information regarding policies and procedures for shipping items to campus. (A brief synopsis of the most important information is included below, but please visit their site for further details!)

The Post Office has the capability to send and receive parcels from carriers including the United States Postal Service (USPS), United Postal Service (UPS), as well as pre-paid postage for Federal Express (FedEx) and many other carriers. During the academic year, the Post Office is open Monday through Friday from Noon to 4:00 p.m. Parcels that are not pre-paid can be sent at the Post Office via USPS or UPS, but bear in mind that the Post Office can only accept cash and checks as a form of payment.

Each student is assigned their own combination-locked mailbox, which will remain the same for their time at Allegheny. The student’s box number and combination can be found in the “My Profile” link in the WebAdvisor student menu. Students should keep this combination secret to ensure privacy. If a parcel is larger than the mailbox, a notice will be placed for window pick-up. Please remember that a picture ID is required to receive parcels at the window.
