Recent internships completed by Allegheny College Political Science majors include

  • the White House
  • Federal Bureau of Investigation
  • Department of Homeland Security
  • Department of the Treasury
  • various Senatorial and Congressional offices
  • National Coalition for the Homeless
  • Office of the Comptroller of the Currency
  • Robert H. Jackson Center
  • American Enterprise Institute
  • Center for American Progress
  • State Department
  • Association for Diplomatic Studies and Training

For many internship experiences, funding may be available to help offset housing and other expenses, including through the Betsy Dotson Experiential Learning Fund, the use of which Political Science students have first priority.   It also may be possible to earn academic credit for your internship experience–please consult with Department Chair, Professor Shannan Mattiace for more information.
