Professor of Psychology Patricia Rutledge presented a paper in November at the annual meeting of the American Public Health Association (APHA) in Boston. The paper, “Development of comprehensive measures of alcohol-policy enforcement,” was co-authored with Rhonda Jones-Webb, Toben Nelson, Traci Toomey, and Darin Erikson, all of the University of Minnesota. Rutledge was a co-author on another APHA presentation made by first author Julie Sanem: “Association between impaired driving law enforcement efforts and drinking and driving behavior.” The work presented at APHA was initiated during Rutledge’s 2012-2013 sabbatical in the Division of Epidemiology and Community Health, School of Public Health, University of Minnesota, where she was a visiting associate professor. This work is supported by a grant from the National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) R01 AA017873 to Darin J. Erickson, Principal Investigator.
