At 4 PM on Friday, August 21, WebAdvisor will close for on-line course Adds. After that time, all Adds will require the instructor’s permission. Add cards will be available in the Registrar’s Office on Monday, August 24, and faculty will be in their offices that afternoon from 1-3 PM to sign eligible students into classes where possible. Add cards must be submitted to the Registrar’s Office by the Add deadline, 5 PM on Monday, September 7.

You may continue to drop classes on-line via Webadvisor until the Drop deadline, 5 PM on Monday, September 7. Please note that the Drop deadline is three weeks earlier than in past semesters!

After the first two weeks have passed, you will have the option of taking a “student-initiated withdrawal” from a maximum of one course per semester (four courses total in your time at Allegheny). If you opt to take a student-initiated withdrawal, the course will be designated by a grade of “X” on your transcript, but the course will have no effect on your GPA. Student-initiated withdrawals may be taken through the first nine weeks of the semester; cards for this purpose are available in the Registrar’s office and must be signed by both the instructor and your advisor as an indication that you have informed them of your decision. The Fall 2015 deadline for a student-initiated withdrawal is Thursday, October 29.
