If You’re Flying Alone

Students Flying Alone to Pittsburgh (PIT)

Complimentary shuttles will be available on Sunday for students who are traveling alone and flying into the Pittsburgh International Airport. Please make your flight arrangements accordingly.

To reserve a seat on the shuttle, you must do the following:

  1. Indicate you are flying alone via PIT on the Sneak Preview Registration Form
  2. Complete the Flight Information Form at least 10 days before the program date. We cannot guarantee transportation if your flight information is not received in this timeframe. Austin, our travel coordinator, will contact you to confirm your flight information.
Trip Schedule
Shuttle to Campus
(Saturday arrival for Multicultural Program)

Choose a flight that will arrive to PIT by 2:30 p.m.
Shuttle leaves PIT airport at 3:30 p.m. and arrives to campus at 5:30 p.m.

Shuttle to Campus
(Sunday arrival)

Choose a flight that will arrive to PIT by Noon
Shuttle leaves PIT airport at 1 p.m. and arrives to campus at 3 p.m.

Shuttle to Airport
(Monday departure)

Choose a flight that leaves after 4:30 p.m. to allow for check-in.
Shuttle leaves Allegheny at 1:15 p.m. and arrives at PIT by 3:30 p.m.

Travel Assistance

To assist with transportation to campus, students who fly alone to attend the program may request partial travel reimbursement by completing the following:

  1. Complete the Travel Assistance Request Form
  2. Submit your airline receipt of purchase to the travel coordinator listed below
  3. Demonstrate financial need via the FAFSA

Reimbursements will be mailed out two weeks after the event if all information has been received. Please contact Austin with questions (see below).
