Pre-Education Club

Description: The Pre-Education Club is a student-led organization that offers students interested in teaching an opportunity to meet other future educators and to participate in a wide variety of activities. The Club was instrumental in designing the new Education Studies minor and now helps plan speakers and Gator Day events, shows education-focused films, and serves as a source of information about tutoring and other education opportunities. Two members of the Pre-Ed Club serve on the Education Studies Steering Committee to represent student views on curriculum and programming.

Purpose: To unite Allegheny students who have a passion for education and provide them with the knowledge and experience necessary to succeed in the field of education. Our goals include, but are not limited to: providing networking opportunities to Allegheny students, creating outlets for field experience in neighboring schools and facilities, and guiding students in their pursuit of post-graduate education programs during their time at Allegheny.
