The Shoe Project

The Shoe Project is a presentation sponsored by Women’s Services Inc and the Title IX Office in the Campus Center as part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. It is intended to immerse individuals in the powerful reality of domestic violence and the impact it has on the lives of victims. Each shoe has an attached story, all of which were inspired by real cases of domestic violence.

We recognize that these stories are impactful, and many who will encounter this display may have their own history. If you are triggered by any of these stories, we encourage you to seek help with any of the resources provided.

The project will be on display in the CC Monday through Wednesday, as a lead-up to “Hands Don’t Hurt,” a discussion about intimate partner violence, put on by Women’s Services Inc. on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. in the Pelletier Library Collaboratory.
