Go Gator Admitted Student Celebration

Notice

In compliance with health department and government recommendations, the Office of Admissions has cancelled our spring admitted student events. We will be reaching out with more information in the coming weeks to provide ways in which you can explore Allegheny and still connect with our community as you complete your college search.

Prior to that, some options include our virtual tour, highlights of Meadville, and videos from our recent student social media takeover.

    Deadlines to Register

Plan to register early to ensure the best experience, including the option to stay overnight with a student host and select classes to attend. At the latest, register one week in advance so that we may have time to make the appropriate arrangements for your visit.

    Overnight Accommodations

Students, if you choose to stay overnight in a residence hall, we will match you with one of our volunteer student hosts. We will match students with similar academic or extracurricular activities whenever possible. If you know a current student who lives on campus and would like to stay with him/her, please let us know on your reservation form. Please bring a pillow, sleeping bag, towel and any other personal items that will be needed. Overnight hosts are not available for Gator for a Day on April 8.
Parents, you can find a list of recommended hotels and bed & breakfasts at our Visitor’s Center.

    Travel Assistance

Students traveling alone to our Go Gator Overnights can take advantage of our shuttles. See our travel assistance page for more details.

    Dress & Weather

Dress is casual throughout the weekend. Average temperature range in March is 25–45 degrees and snowfall is always a possibility. April holds less of a chance of snow, but temperatures still vary. While much of the program will be held in the Campus Center, the evening entertainment, campus tours, and drop-in locations will require walking outside. Bundle up, we’ll make it—Allegheny Gators aren’t afraid of the snow!
