Unusual Combinations: Outdoor enthusiast / artist / animal lover
Amanda transferred to Allegheny in her sophomore year, and graduated in May of 2016, with a degree in Environmental Studies and a minor in Values, Ethics, and Social Action. While in college, Amanda was a member of Students for Environmental Action, the Allegheny Christian Organization, and president of the Ski & Snowboard Club. She also worked as a Davies Service Leader at the Meadville Area Recreation Complex. She moved to Honolulu shortly after graduation, and worked as a field assistant on several waterbird tracking studies, as well as for a community restoration non-profit organization. She became dive certified, backpacked the Kalalau Trail on Kauai, and pet as many dogs as possible.
When not working, Amanda can be found painting, reading, hiking, or hunting down the perfect IPA. She also enjoys birding, eating spicy food, watching Parks and Recreation, and drinking gallons of coffee. She aspires to travel, play the ukulele, and learn German.
