Kristin Khor (Bayan Lepas, Malaysia) has two passions in life: science and service. A double major in biochemistry and psychology, Khor spent her junior year studying at Oxford University. And she’s still found the time to serve as a Peer Project Leader at a local nursing home and to volunteer on projects both local and global.
Her volunteer work includes not only a community soup kitchen but fundraising for tsunami relief for her home country and other devastated areas. She has served as the vice president of the International Club, a member of the Alpha Chi Omega social sorority, and a resident advisor in Brooks Hall—and has also served as a peer leader in Associate Professor of Psychology Josh Searle-White’s freshman seminar on story-telling.”I feel like I am a living testimony of the many opportunities and support available at Allegheny,” she says.
