About me: Beach Lover / Traveler / Swimmer
Pronouns: she / her / hers

Sarah joined the Allegheny Admission Office in September 2022. She is a native of Arlington, Virginia and a graduate of Denison University with a degree in Political Science. While at Denison, she was captain of the Women’s Swimming and Diving Team, a campus tour guide, an orientation leader, and member of the reunion committee.

After graduating from Denison, Sarah began her career in higher education enrollment management at Ithaca College (NY) as an admissions counselor. While at Ithaca, she gained a passion for working with prospective students and helping them find a college of best fit. She spent two years in the beautiful Finger Lakes region before returning to the Nation’s Capital to continue her career in admissions. She has since worked at two different institutions both on campus and in a regional role. Sarah really loves working with prospective students beginning the college search process.

When not on the road recruiting, you can find Sarah spending time with her family and friends, at her local CrossFit gym, or reading on the beach (specifically Chatham, MA or Emerald Isle, NC).

Tips for Future Allegheny Students

  • Get involved! One thing I wish I had done sooner in college was to get involved in different clubs or organizations. This is a great way to meet folks and get involved in the campus community.
  • Try new things! Don’t be afraid to try new things. Whether that is a class in a subject you have never heard of or joining a club because you have an interest in. Do things that put you outside of your comfort zone.
  • Have fun! College goes by fast so enjoy the four years you have as a member of the campus community here at Allegheny.
