What is an Allegheny Walk and Talk?
Allegheny Walk and Talk is a chance for you to see campus and interact with community members at your own pace. See below what you can expect during your visit.
Arrive anytime between 9 AM and 12:30 PM EDT. Program activities will be running until 2:30 PM. Please note that if you arrive later than 12:30 PM you may not be able to complete all of the activities you wish to engage in and should let admissions know in advance.
Pre-registration and completion of our health questionnaire is required. If you arrive on campus without having completed an official registration or the health questionnaire you will be asked to leave campus. (You can see our COVID-19 policies here.)
Activities may include:
- Information Session
Join admissions staff for an overview presentation of Allegheny. This session will be offered at 9:30 AM, 11:30 AM, and 1:30 PM. Availability of seating for each time will be on a first come first served basis in order to comply with COVID-19 physical distancing regulations. - Tours of select campus spaces (subject to availability). Tours are available all day.

– Wise Athletic Center
– A first-year residence hall
– Library and Student Success Center
– Carr Hall (Academic Building)
– Brooks Dining Hall - Take a self-guided Green Tour of Campus
Campus is beautiful to walk around! Please follow our outdoor green tour to learn about some of our campus sustainability features. - Photo Booth
Make a memory by taking a picture at our photobooth. - Browse our collection of academic brochures. Admissions staff will be available to answer your questions after each information session.
- Take a lunch break on campus from 11 AM – 1:30 PM! (We can also suggest some great spaces to eat in town.)
- Visit the bookstore!
