Bio: Heather Brand is a lens-based artist who has an MFA in Visual Studies from The State University of New York in Buffalo, NY, and a BS in Studio Art from The State University of New York College at Brockport in Brockport, NY. Her work considers how themes of containment and replication are presented in depictions of nature. Internationally her work has been exhibited at The Art Pavilion in London, UK, Millepiani Exhibition Space in Rome, Italy, The Mohsen Gallery in Tehran, Iran, and Medialab-Prado in Madrid, Spain. Recently her work has been exhibited at the CANO arts center in Oneonta, NY, Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art in Altoona, PA, and the Midwest Center for Photography in Wichita, KS.
