Diplomat in Residence Presents Careers in Foreign Service on 11/10

What does it mean to work as a Foreign Service Officer (FSO)? How does one become a diplomat? Join Foreign Service Officer Dale Giovengo, parent of an Allegheny College graduate, Class of 2000, for a lunchtime talk on Careers in Foreign Service sponsored by International Studies and The Gateway/Career Education. Learn how you can prepare for an exciting career that will take you around the world. Join us in Quigley Auditorium, 12:15 pm on Friday, November 10. Lunch will be provided.

As a Foreign Service Specialist, Dale Giovengo has held or managed numerous positions responsible for Embassy operations in France, Albania, Kuwait, Pakistan, Switzerland and Iraq. Dale most recently managed the Medical Services Support Iraq Program before joining the Diplomat in Residence team in 2017.

Students are also invited to open office hours with Dale from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. in room 253 in The Gateway. Students interested in meeting with Dale Giovengo must sign up in the Career Education Office on Friday, November 10; 20-minute meetings are available beginning at 2:30 p.m.
