Pathways to NGO Careers

When: Wednesday, March 28 12:15-1:15 pm (Pizza will be provided.)

Where: Quigley 101

What: Learn about the various opportunities that you may be unaware of to begin careers with NGOs. The presenter, Jonathan White ’92 earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Allegheny College. He then studied International Development at LSE and Johns Hopkins. He currently serves as Regional Director for East and Southern Africa at the National Cooperative Business Association CLUSA, Washington, DC.

Employment with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC)

When: Thursday, March 29, 12:15-1:15 pm (Pizza will be provided.)

Where: Quigley Room 220

What: Eze Amadi, a Franchise & Asset Management Analyst with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) is visiting campus to recruit for full-time, entry-level Financial Institution Specialists. These positions are perfect for students interested in business administration, banking, finance, economics, accounting, statistics, and math! Come to this session to learn how to be a competitive applicant and learn more about the FDIC’s Corporate Employee Program (CEP) while enjoying some lunch. What: Stop in to have your resume, cover letters, or other documents reviewed by Career Education staff at the Resume Doctor session. This is the last Resume Doctor of the semester so don’t miss out! “Tell Me About Yourself”: Elevator Pitch Workshop

When: Tuesday, April 3, 3:30 pm- 5:00 pm

Where: Campus Center 301/302

What: One of the most common questions that starts an interview is “Tell me about yourself”. Do you know how to answer? Everyone is invited to attend our workshop to help you craft and perfect your elevator pitch! Whether you’re an underclassman looking for internships or a graduating senior in the search for a job/grad school, everyone can benefit from having a well-crafted elevator pitch!
