Dear Allegheny College community,
I am writing with an update on the COVID-19 pandemic response on campus.
Thank you for scheduling — and showing up for — your biweekly tests! Our daily COVID-19 positivity rate has remained under 0.3% since fall semester classes began. As of today, we currently have zero (0) active cases among students and one (1) among employees. As a reminder, you can find the latest information on the COVID-19 dashboard, which is updated daily Monday through Friday.
COVID on campus since August 23:
- 1 students has tested positive for COVID-19
- 3 employees have tested positive for COVID-19
- 50 total close contacts have been identified
- 0 close contacts tested positive
- 3,815 students have been tested since the first day of class
Blue & Gold Weekend: There will be many visitors on campus this weekend. All visitors must be masked inside, with a few rare exceptions of performers who are vaccinated and will be tested upon arrival on campus. For the safest visit, please enjoy the company of visitors outside.
Illness: If you feel ill, wear a mask and come to Wise Center for a COVID-19 test.
- COVID-19 Test: If you are ill, you don’t need an appointment to test at Wise Center. You might have a short wait, but you will not be turned away. You can also email ACHA at healthagency@allegheny.edu. Once you test negative, you can attend class and extracurricular activities (please wear a mask until you are 100% better).
- Medical Care: Winslow Health Center is available for sick appointments; call 814-332-4355 to schedule an appointment. Appointments are required at Winslow Health Center. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 10 am – 3 pm. You do not need a COVID-19 test before being seen at Winslow.
