“Economic Impact Study: Redevelopment of the Avtex Industrial Park, Meadville, PA”
Economic Progress Alliance of Crawford County
The Economic Progress Alliance focuses on promoting and enabling sustainable economic growth for Crawford County. During Summer 2007, Josh completed a study that will be presented to the Meadville community to demonstrate the successful impacts that the Economic Progress Alliance has had on the Avtex Industrial Park site. Josh also worked on a survey to obtain information from local producing companies to provide to a national level consultant. Through his work this summer, Josh created a template that will be used by the Economic Progress Alliance to assess future project sites.
Josh felt that his experience at the Economic Progress Alliance was rewarding; he enjoyed it so much that he committed to continue his work with the Alliance through the Fall 2007 semester!
Seemingly out of step with his work for the Alliance, Josh is a Psychology major at Allegheny College. He is also the president of Allegheny’s Habitat for Humanity.
