Meadville Market House
Built in 1871 and renovated in 1970, the Market House now serves not only its original purpose as a city market, but also as a Grille and Restaurant, and a meeting place for many community members. Always filled with activity, the Market House is found in the center of Meadville and provides many residences with local foods and baked goods during a weekly farmers market. The Cookie Lady and The Market Grille are only two of the many shops in The Market House.
While at The Market House, working with Market Master Alice Sjolander, Stephanie joined in the organization of a 50s Block Party fundraiser in downtown Meadville on Aug. 2nd, 2008. The event included a Johnnie’s Drive-In at the Market House Grille. Stephanie was also part of an event at the Market House hosting a display for Amish Awareness.
Stephanie continued with her community service at the Crawford county READ program. She is not a Bonner Leader at this agency.
Stephanie is from PA. She and is majoring in Psychology at Allegheny. Her minor is Religious Studies. She will be graduating from Allegheny College in May of 2010.
