The goal is to create an atmosphere conducive to all students, including those who chose to abstain from Alcohol and other Drugs (AOD), and those who choose to engage in legal and safe drinking. While Allegheny is not a dry campus, we are committed to AOD abuse prevention. All students are required to be knowledgeable of, and abide by the Alcohol Policy<\/a>.<\/p>\n Per Allegheny College Policy<\/a>, “any student organization or campus-sponsored even on campus property must be registered if there is alcohol present and all events must be within the occupancy limits of the space as posted. Students are responsible for upholding all College policies and complying with the occupancy limits of the space.”<\/p>\n To register an event, please complete this form<\/a>.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Any question, please contact communitystandards@allegheny.edu<\/a><\/p>\n Allegheny College’s Good Samaritan Policy<\/a> states that students who seek assistance for another student with regards to drug or alcohol use, or to help a student who has been a victim of violence and\/or assault, will not face punitive sanctions. Students may still be required to complete educational sanctions.<\/p>\n As part of Wellness@Allegheny, Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Education and Prevention provides programming and workshops throughout the academic year. To request a program or workshop, email wellness@allegheny.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Drug Free Schools and Communities Act requires that all institutions of higher education that receive federal funding make a commitment to Alcohol and other Drugs (AOD) education and prevention. Allegheny medical records up to Fall 2021 are now housed under the Dean of Students umbrella. This includes any Health Status Report forms turned in by students who matriculated that semester.<\/p>\n Once students are seen by Winslow Health Center in collaboration with Meadville Medical Center (MMC), they start a new medical chart that is the responsibility of MMC. Allegheny College does not have access to those records and all requests for copies must go through Winslow\/MMC by calling them at (814) 332-4355.<\/p>\n Requests for medical records through Allegheny must first fill out a Medical Release Form<\/a> and send it in to the Wellness Education staff via email at wellness@allegheny.edu<\/a>.\u00a0Please note, as stated on the form, we will only release records to ONE individual, organization, or entity. It is suggested\u00a0that you receive the records yourself and then distribute them at your discretion.<\/em><\/p>\n Requests will be completed within 30 days of receipt in accordance with Pennsylvania State Law1<\/a>,2<\/a><\/sup>.<\/p>\n Any record request from Allegheny will be processed and sent back via email or fax only<\/span>. If hard copy is selected, the requestor must pay fees for the production of medical charts or records, in accordance with\u00a042 Pa.C.S. \u00a7\u00a7 6152, 6152.1, and 6155<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n In pursuant to PA Code 563.6., Allegheny is required to keep medical records for seven years. As of October 27, 2021,\u00a0 Allegheny’s policy is to maintain alumni health records for the required minimum of seven years post graduation or withdrawal from Allegheny.<\/p>\n If you are outside the seven year window and need immunization records, it is suggested that you research the options listed on the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) web-page article <\/em><\/span>“Vaccine Information for Adults.”<\/em><\/span><\/a><\/p>\nResources & Links<\/a><\/div>Annual Events<\/a><\/div><\/div><\/p>\n
