An internship enables students to gain valuable, practical experience that they can use later in their careers. Students get the opportunity to work on real projects that impact the success of a company or social service organization. An internship is the first step in building the student’s business network.
The Center for Business & Economics offers internship opportunities that may qualify for Academic Credit. Whether the student chooses an In-Semester or a Summer Internship, the goal of earning academic credits is to challenge the student to place this experience into an academic, analytical context. Academic credit does not prevent the student from being paid if the internship is structured as a paid internship.
