I’m the Marketing and Neuromarketing professor in the Business and Economics Department at Allegheny College.

My work focuses on customer behavior in retail and online, with a special focus on artificial intelligence (robots or digital voice assistants) using neuromarketing tools. For my research I won an Award as a Woman of Excellence at the World Women Economic Forum and at the Conference titled Convergence 2020: Winning through Service Excellence. I’m also a member of the American Marketing Association (AMA) and Judge for the AMA Undergraduate Research Competition.

Before starting my academic career, I served in the premium-luxury retail sector for international companies such as Max Mara, Value Retail, and Louis Vuitton. These long-time connections with these  companies facilitates student/company collaborations by involving them in monthly international guest lectures (Marketing Mondays), community-based projects (Football as a Metaphor for Business Strategy, Judge the Nudge, Smartphone Addiction), internships or retail tours. My skills are valued by IULM University, University of Southern California, and Jagdish Sheth School of Management where I’m frequently a guest lecturer.

I was born in the amazing city of Milan in Italy, but I have roamed in Spain, France, UK, India and California. As an Italian professor, I am well versed with, and sensitive to diversity-related issues in the classroom. I attended the Preparing Future Faculty Certification and subsequently rebuilt my classes in compliance with the Design Thinking and Diversity in Education model with contemplative pedagogy strategies, geared to engage all students while respecting all different genres, races, religions, and cultures.

On a personal level, I am a proud mother of five Maine Coons cats. I love shopping (shoes and books in particular), travelling and hiking. I’m a Gator Football Fan!
