Senior Project Formatting Guide and printing process

Updated 3/2022

General Guidelines

  • Margins should be set at 1 inch.
  • Use Times New Roman or Arial font, set at 12 pt.
  • Set line spacing at 1.5. (Tip: Keyboard shortcut is CTRL+5)
  • Submit a copy of your comp to both of your readers by the deadline. Check with them first to see if they want an electronic copy via email OR a printed copy. If printed copy, you can just print one for them from any student printer on campus.
  • After your comp oral, if you want a printed copy for yourself, you are able to get 2 free copies from the college print shop. Send your comp file to the print shop (p2xprint@allegheny.edu) along with this form to indicate what kind of binding you want (tape or spiral/comb) and what color for your cover page (colors are listed on the form).

Any other format settings are only acceptable upon consent of comp advisor.  If you have any questions, contact your comp advisor.
